     Buffalo, Wyoming is a great community filled with exciting things to do and wonderful amenities. The city has a current population of about 3,900 citizens.

     The city has an excellent schools system with an Elementary, Middle and High School available within the city limits. The city has complete police, sheriff and fire protection facilities, hospital and medical center, a YMCA, the region's largest outdoor FREE swimming pool and a beautiful 18-hole golf course.  The Clear Creek Trail System provides beautiful hiking or bicycling opportunities through Buffalo and into the Bighorn Mountains.

     Buffalo also has an attractive and historic downtown shopping area and fine restaurants are available.  The Jim Gatchell Museum of the Old West contains exhibits of the rich history of the region.

     The magnificent Bighorn Mountains and the Bighorn national Forest are just a few minutes from the center of Buffalo.  Popular activities in the Bighorns include camping, hiking & backpacking, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing, sightseeing and photography.

     Many wildlife species are very abundant in the Bighorns region.  Elk, Moose, Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Pronghorn Antelope, Bald Eagles, and countless other small animals inhabit this beautiful region.
