For my real estate agent, I would want someone who is knowledgeable and experienced in their market and who practiced real estate as a full time career.  For these reasons I would try to find a RE/MAX agent, and/or an agent that has a CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation. RE/MAX is known for attracting top quality agents and agents who have acquired the CRS designation (or other professional designations), showing that they are interested in obtaining a higher level of skill and professionalism. RE/MAX agents lead the industry in professional designations.

Second, I would want an agent that took a personal interest in my needs and someone who would communicate with me throughout the process.  This person would ideally have high ethical values and personal integrity.  How a transaction is accomplished is just as important to me as actually accomplishing it.  As one of my competitors once told me, "I have learned a lot from you.  You have taught me to always 'take the high road.'" This is one of the highest compliments I have ever received.

Because this is the type of realtor that I would like to use myself, this is the type of realtor that I strive to be.  I also expect this level of service from those who work with me at RE/MAX Mountain West.
